Greek Yogurt & Feta Bites with Kasseri and Greek Honey

Ingredients

  • 1 egg beaten
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • Pinch cinnamon powder
  • Salt & ground black pepper
  • 1 cup crumbled Greek feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Greek kasseri or kaskeval cheese
  • 1 cup self-rising flour*
  • Optional: toasted sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Greek honey for drizzling
  • *Alternate: 1 cup regular flour + 1 tsp baking powder + 1/4 tsp baking soda + 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare tray.
  • Mix wet ingredients until smooth.
  • Add lemon zest, mint, salt, pepper, feta and kasseri; stir.
  • Sift in self-rising flour; bring dough together.
  • Shape into balls, flatten tops, tray; sprinkle sesame if using.
  • Bake 15–20 min until golden.
  • When warm, drizzle honey over bites.
